In Room 10 lately we have been writing speeches. We were allowed to choose any topic we wanted as long as we could back it up with some good key points. Our speeches were written over a couple of days, it was hard but we got good results. After we had written our speeches we had to say them in front of the class. If we were successful we got to speak in front of the syndicate.
The syndicate teachers then chose a few people to move on to the semi finals in front of Miss Smith and Mr. Rickard. After everyone in the semi finals did their speech it was up to the judges to choose who was going to the finals!
We are the only class in the school to get all of our semi finalists into the finals. They are Laura-Jane, Griffin and I. In the finals we will be speaking in front of the whole school.
It will be on Friday in the hall, we will have three judges. They will be sitting one on the left, one on the right and one right in the middle. There will be one person from each year group who wins. It will be nerve racking but at least we got this far!
